Man Denies Dangerous Driving, Resisting Arrest

In Magistrates Court this morning [Apr 14], Mishael Paynter pleaded not guilty to driving dangerously, driving whilst impaired, refusing to take the alco-analyzer test, violently resisting arrest, and riding without a helmet.

All five charges arose out an alleged Police intervention in Hamilton earlier this morning. On these matters, Senior Magistrate Archie Warner granted the 28 year old bail, required a surety, and set a trial date. Senior Magistrate Archie Warner also dealt with unpaid fines Mr Paynter had for traffic violations in 2013.
