Judicial Department Summer Opening Hours
The Judicial Department has announced summer opening hours, which take effect from July 10th.
Supreme Court And Court Of Appeal
A spokesperson said, “With effect from Friday, 10 July 2026 – Friday, 4 September 2026, all Supreme Court and Court of Appeal Registry locations in the Dame Lois Browne Evans Building and the Government Administration Building will close at 1:00 p.m. Arrangements should be made to file all documents between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
“If there are urgent filings, arrangements may be made to have them accepted between 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. by contacting the Acting Registrar via email as follows:
- Court of Appeal: courtofappeal@gov.bm
- Civil/Commercial: supremecourt@gov.bm
- Matrimonial/Family: scfamily@gov.bm
- Criminal: sccriminal@gov.bm
- Probate: probate@gov.bm
Magistrates’ Court
“With effect from Friday, 10 July 2026 – Friday, 4 September 2026, the Magistrates’ Court Reception Desk, Family Support Office, Civil and Criminal/Traffic/Records Sections located in the Dame Lois Browne Evans Building will also close at 1:00 p.m. Arrangements should be made to file all documents between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
“The Cashiers’ office will remain open from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.”
