BHB Hosts Phone-A-Thon For Acute Care Wing
The Bermuda Hospitals Charitable Trust is hosting its Phone-a-thon today [May 16], with lines open from 9.00am through 4.00pm in order to accept donations that will go towards ongoing work on the new Acute Care Wing opening in September 2014.
A spokesperson said, “Gifts of $5,000 and above will be recognized on the Donor Wall in the lobby of the Acute Care Wing.
“Alternatively, for a gift of $1,000, supporters can purchase a personalised brick that will be featured in the Legacy Walkway leading into the Acute Care Wing.”
“No donation is too small. Every gift helps the hospital deliver life-saving care when it matters most. A $50 gift buys a new IV stand, a $100 gift buys a walker, and a $500 gift buys a wheelchair.
“Give a gift of $25, $50, $100, or even $500 for a single item, or donate toward a higher priced item needed for the new Acute Care Wing.”
To donate, supporters can call 295-2428, visit online, drop a donation off at the KEMH lobby, or make a deposit directly into one of the following bank accounts:
- HSBC Account # 101 086 668 002
- Butterfield Bank Account # 060 000 445 0020
- Clarien Bank Ltd Account # 600 008 2577

As much as they can squeeze.
I thought we were getting a new HOSPITAL not an ACUTE CARE WING?
I also thought it was going to pay for itself.
