Fairmont Hamilton Princess Shown In 1885

May 6, 2014

In honour of the “Throwback Thursday” trend that is popular on social media, the staff of the Fairmont Hamilton Princess posted a photograph of their premises as it existed in 1885 last week [May 1], featuring the hotel as a backdrop against which a passenger steamboat traverses the waters.

In contrast to that well-aged picture, a $90 million upgrade to the Fairmont Hamilton Princess is currently underway, with some 21 subcontractors represented by 90 staff working on the site.

The upgrades are set to include an infinity pool, private cabanas, new hot tub, renovation of the 69 guestrooms/suites, new furniture, new Gazebo-style bar & grill and much more.

The pool area, which will be almost three times the size of the current pool, will have luxury loungers, shaded seating and hammocks. There will also be a new hot tub and enhancements to the poolside food and beverage offering.
