Video: Aerial Media’s Search For Missing Visitor
The team from Bermuda Aerial Media joined in the search for William Grange, volunteering their time in the hope that some of the footage they obtain can be helpful in locating the missing 67-year-old tourist.
Mr. Grange, who suffers from short term memory loss, arrived in Bermuda from Napanee, Canada earlier this month and has not been seen since approximately 10.00pm on the evening of May 2.
Mr. Grange’s son, John Grange, has traveled to Bermuda in order to aid in the search and, speaking at a press conference earlier this week, said that his father may have went for a walk and become confused.
Bermuda Aerial Media, the island’s only firm licensed to conduct aerial photography and videography, have conducted remote controlled flights over the Tucker Property, North Shore, and Cambridge Beaches.
Their small aircraft has worked to scour the wooded areas and shoreline adjacent to Cambridge Beaches Resort; Mr. Grange planned to spend his 10-day vacation at the resort and was last seen walking away from that location.
Searches for the missing man have been ongoing for a week now, with more than 100 volunteers, comprised of both locals and visitors, working to leave no part of the island unchecked.
Those searches have been organized by a variety of bodies, including Cambridge Beaches Resort, leading to an island-wide manhunt that has seen locals checking their yards and sheds while parties comb through areas that Mr. Grange could possibly have arrived at on foot.
While Cambridge Beaches Resort continues to organize daily community searches, similar efforts are underway by the Bermuda Regiment, Department of Corrections, and H.M. Customs personnel, as well as family members and local residents, with police actively involved in the search each day – a search that they’ve called a “critical priority.”
Mr. Grange was last seen wearing beige pants, a blue shirt, brown jacket, and brown shoes and is described as a Caucasian male, 5’9″ tall with white hair. His son has indicated that his father may possibly have a grey beard by now, and so would appear differently than in the photo above.
Anyone who has seen or has any information on the whereabouts of Mr. Grange is urged to contact the main police telephone number at 295-0011 immediately, reporting all relevant information as quickly as possible.
