Videos: CedarBridge’s “To Live Is To Dance”
CedarBridge Academy hosted “To Live is to Dance” on Friday [May 9] at Ruth Seaton James Auditorium.
Ms. Wanda Maxwell, dance instructor for CedarBridge Academy, previously explained, “Many of the dances the students will perform are their own choreography, because that is one aspect of their GCSE requirements.
“Students had to look at a professional dance company piece and create a dance while keeping some aspect of the professional troupe’s piece. Students are allowed to use props, a motif, and their own creation.”
The evening included performances by Ballet, Modern and Jazz dancers Deshae Darrell, Coyshea Fox, Cameron Gordon, Jaqueena Harvey, Amber Jackson, Sarai Paynter, Jessica Pimentel, Talshay Robinson-Lambe, Te’ajah Rogers, Shaun Sealey, Dekita Seymour, Asya Simons and Dayjah Williams.
GCSE II dancers included Tahirah Smith, Naomi Lightbourne, Kenya Simmons, Zaakira Lee, Shauntia Laws, Destiny Smith, Tihana Booth and Jahphia Lightbourne.
GCSE I dancers included Isreal Bennett, Sade Bowen, Salae Bowen, Rachael Butterfield, Terae Dill, Nakira Trott, Shania Brown-Smith, Jadai James, Lyneisha Lee, Precious Perinchief, Kemira York and Tallia Zuill.
