BBA Hosts Successful ‘Just Dance 2′ Event

June 25, 2014

Building Blocks Academy [BBA] hosted a successful production in celebration of the school’s largest ever graduating group of 22 on Saturday, June 21, 2014, combining song and dance in front of a large crowd.

A spokesperson said, “A full house was on the scene for the students to come out and perform, with the choreography, props, and video digital shorts bringing the entire crowd to their feet cheering, laughing, and even shedding tears of joy.

“The show included a tribute to Alvin Ailey and Michael Jackson. The music and dances boasted a wide range of genres that covered many generations. The crowd went wild when the lights went on and the students were in a boxing ring in boxing robes and gloves, dancing to “Roar” by Katy Perry.

“An intermission contest included an audience call to rap the theme song to The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, and a monetary gift was given to the winner.”

“Parents were very vocal in congratulating BBA on their best show in its history and were thrilled that their students were graduating well-prepared for their next chapter of learning. Loads of comments came flooding in on Facebook sharing how blown away the audience was at the level of professionalism and the extent to which preschoolers were able to learn, memorize, and perform on a huge stage the dances they learned.

“Owners of BBA appealed to the audience, who have shown huge support since the school’s inception, to share with Bermuda a campaign they have kicked off for summer. $1,000 will be rewarded to anyone in the community who refers an enrolling child to BBA. The crowd obviously went wild when they heard about the offer and many have already come forth with people who are interested in touring our campus.

“Building Blocks Academy is Bermuda’s first and premier Performing Arts Preschool, with a huge reputation for extremely entertaining productions, as well as an amazing academic program including science, social studies, math, physics, and Spanish. The performing arts department includes art, dance, drama, and music, including Bermuda’s first ever preschool drum-line. We are also proud to announce that we will be offering tennis instruction by a certified tennis coach.

“It’s a thrilling time at BBA; the staff are the most hard working and nurturing team most have ever come across and are educated in the areas they specialize in, making BBA a holistic environment within which to foster a strong foundation for life-long learning.”
