Day #3: ITF Junior Tennis Tournament Results
The Bank of Bermuda Foundation ITF Junior Tennis Tournament continued at the WER Joell Tennis Stadium, with rain making it a long day for organizers as all the Boys 18 Singles matches were postponed.
In Girls 18 Singles action, Bermuda’s Tyler Smith took to the court for her first action of the Tournament taking on Polina Kiseleva from the United States of America. Smith playing infront of crowd of family and friends won the first set 7-5, but Kiseleva fought back and won the second set 6-0. Smith not disappointing her fans came out strong in the third and final set winning 6-0.
In other action Elysse Graci from the United States of America defeated Minnie Kim from Canada 6-2, 6-2. The match was an intense one, with Kim receiving a warning for delaying the game, this after the two players disagreed with the score in the second set. An official was needed to settle the issue, but it appeared to upset Kim, who was visibly emotional.
