Flora Duffy Delivers Again, Wins In Virginia
Bermuda’s Flora Duffy continued her winning streak today [June 15], this time capturing the USA Triathlon Off-Road National Championship title in Richmond, Virginia.
Duffy, a two-time Olympian, was ahead from the start, posting the fastest swim and bike splits and coming across the finish line in 2:35:36, more than eight minutes ahead of Emma Garrard from Utah – who placed 2nd to Duffy for the third straight time this year.

Several hundred triathletes from across the U.S. and around the world took part in today’s race, which combines a one-mile swim in the James River with a 20-mile mountain bike through the James River Park System and finishes with a six-mile trail run.
Duffy has been very dominant throughout this year’s XTERRA racing season, winning the XTERRA Championship in South Africa, the XTERRA West Championship in Nevada, the XTERRA Asia-Pacific Championship in Australia and the XTERRA Southeast Championship in Alabama.
Congrats.
Go Flora! Well done! Keep up the GREAT work!
Flora has been a champion athlete since our elementary days. Great to see she is still at it! Amazing performance!
