Improv Comedy Cup Match Set For July 17, 18
The third annual Improv Comedy Cup Match, aimed at raising money for The Family Centre, The BMDS Charitable Trust, and IMPACT Mentoring Academy, is set to be held at the Daylesford Theatre on July 17 and July 18, 2014 at 8.00pm.
A spokesperson said, “A portion of funds raised each night will go to support the Family Centre. They perform essential support services for Bermuda’s families and children. This includes parenting skills groups, counselling, advocacy, youth services, and much more. Their website can show you where the money is being used most effectively.
“A portion of funds raised will go to the BMDS Charitable Trust. This fund was set up in memory of Kate Huntingtonn, an active member of BMDS who lost her life in a motorcycle accident in India. The Charitable Trust’s purpose is to help Bermudians studying the performing arts and awards a number of small bursaries each year. More information can be found online.”
“We would like to thank everyone for their support, especially those whose names didn’t make the print deadline. This is a charity event, although we all hope to have a lot of fun making stuff up. Anything you can give will go to help the charities we are supporting.
“We hope you like the bar and theatre, which is run completely by volunteers for everyone’s enjoyment. If you want any further info about becoming a member then you can find out more online.”
The cost for tickets is $25 for donors, $40 for sponsors, and $60 for angels; tickets are available at bdatix.bm.
