Hall Makes “String of Saves” With Chester FC
After signing with Chester FC earlier this month, Bermuda footballer Freddy Hall came into the side during a match with Forest Green Rovers, putting together what one report called a “string of saves, including one excellent point-blank stop in the second half.”
According to a report by the Chester Chronicle, “Freddy Hall wants to build on his impressive start as he attempts to turn his deal into a contract.
“Hall came into the side for the 2-1 loss at Forest Green Rovers midweek, making a string of saves including one excellent point-blank stop in the second half.
“Hall, raised in the town of St George’s in Bermuda, was among the group of hopefuls to trial with the club during pre-season.
“His performances caught the eye of the manager and supporters, but with former number one John Danby still on the wage bill despite not being considered for selection, there was no room in the budget for Hall.
“But the 6’2″ stopper agreed to register for free on the eve of the new season in the hope it might lead to a longer-term arrangement.
“Club manager Steve Burr has confirmed he wants to get the Bermudian international tied down.
“Hall hopes that will be the case, although he knows that [starting goaltender] Worsnop will be determined to win back his place and prove his doubters wrong.
“Tuesday’s performance was the ideal tonic to the Barnet nightmare and Hall said he was ‘positive’ results would pick up.”
We are so very proud of you!
