iPhone 6 Available In Bermuda For $1,189
Apple’s latest smartphone, the much-hyped iPhone 6, is now in stock in Bermuda, with Audio Visual Electronics reporting that the coveted gadget is currently in stock.
While the iPhone 6 Plus is not currently on sale, it is expected to be available for demonstration purposes soon.
Kevin Davies from Audio Visual Electronics said, “The current retail price for an iPhone 6 is $1,189, but that can change daily. Demand for the phone has been heavy since its release.
“The prices have dropped up to $200 on the iPhone 5S, with models now starting at $849, making the iPhone 5S a great deal since the launch of the iPhone 6.”
The official Apple website says, “iPhone 6 isn’t simply bigger — it’s better in every way. Larger, yet dramatically thinner. More powerful, but remarkably power efficient. With a smooth metal surface that seamlessly meets the new Retina HD display.
“It’s one continuous form where hardware and software function in perfect unison, creating a new generation of iPhone that’s better by any measure.”

About iOS 8, Apple’s latest smartphone operating system, the company’s official website says, “It’s not just iPhone 6 that’s bigger. The world’s most advanced mobile operating system has made a huge leap, too.

Whoa, whoa, (wipes eyes)….$1189!!!! For a phone that can bend in an instant while in your pocket?
I’ve never spent that much on a phone and I’m always in constant contact with my family and friends and can keep up with the latest news and gossip on my $250 phone (I didn’t want to pay that much, I’m cheap).
To all you diehard apple addicts, enjoy. My $1189 will be spend on LOTS of other things.
The bendy phone is the 6 plus not the one on sale, the $1189 is for the smallest gig and goes to 1,300 and 1,500 for the 128 gig, can’t wait to see the price of a 6 plus 128 gig $900 US T-Mobile no contract
The bending phone issue is on both the iPhone and the iPhone Plus but it is much worse on the Plus. The Regular iPhone 6 isn’t immune.
PS: I still want one.
You might want to check Consumer Reports recent tests that show the 6 bends at a lower pressure than the Plus
Why do people always feel the need to make comments such as these? If I choose to spend my money on a phone you don’t want, who cares? Do you comment when people buy a car that costs $700 more than yours? Or when people buy a $50 bottle of wine instead of a six-pack of beer? So you get satisfaction buying ‘lots’ of other things with the $750 you ‘saved’…congrats. We each get satisfaction out of different things so if one chooses to buy a new iPhone…who cares?

I have BOTH – an Apple 5c and a Samsung Galaxy 5 -
The Apple takes more detailed and accurate Photo shots, can get more Apps, more clearer sounding Phone,
more detailed sounding when it comes to Music, overall it’s easier to use.
My Samsung is great for texting, it’s slower on the Email, it’s bigger, the Camera is a bit dull compared to the Apple 5C, the Battery last longer,but it’s not built as good as the Apple 5c.- also not as many asserories as the I phones.
I found the Apple I phone the better of the both. – but to each his own!
I purchased both unlocked in NY for $800.
$1000 + for any Phone is taring the %#@#XXX% out of it.- Lets not get Crazy Bermuda!
IPHONE IS QUILITY.. SAMSUNG IS BETA TEST.. LOL! IVE TRIED THE SAMSUNG GALAXY S4 AND I LOVE MY IPHONE 5S.. I HAVE TWO OF THEM.. THE APPS ARE BETTER, THE PICS COME OUT BETTER, I HAVE NO BUGS OR ISSUES LIKE SAMSUNG USER HAVE.. I MAY UPGRADE TO THE IPHONE 6 OR 6L AND SELL ONE OF MY IPHONE 5S PHONES.. (1 IS WORK AND 1 IS PERSONAL)

why do people always act surprised when they see the price of the latest iphone listed as over $1000. What do you expect?
The lowest model iPhone6 costs $650 off contract. That’s around $700 after taxes. Assuming they flew out there to pick up the devices and we are ignoring that cost, it’ll be 33% on each device to Bermuda Customs. (.33*650)+700=$914
Now if the company wants to stay in business they need to sell for a profit hence the ~$200 markup

NOPE YOUR WRONG THE DUTY RATE ON PHONE ARE 22.5% THROUGH COURIERS.. AND THATS HOW AUDIO VISUAL GOT THEM.
Plus don’t forget the clearing charges on top of the duty too!

You have to be out-of-your-mind to pay that type of $$$ for a “phone”!!!
With Consumer Cellular in the states – I pay $20 a MONTH for 600 minutes nationwide! They also sent me a FREE “sim card” to install in my wife’s old iphone 3!! So in effect I have a *smart phone* for nada – zilch – zero!!!
You just CAN’T beat that for competitive service!!
$1200 is about right for what to expect for an off contract iphone in Bermuda. Markups on an already expensive device have to be done and this is the price you get, its been that way since the iphones before.
I guess its particularly painful because there are phones that have been out for months now that are quite superior to this model iphone and cost about $300 less.
That’s my rent I like roof better than a phone !
On black friday in November it will be $400.00 I think I can wait till then.
