Regiment “Road Show” On Kindley Field

September 15, 2014

The Bermuda Regiment has taken to the road in a bid to attract new volunteers, setting up locations on various days and locations around the island, with today [Sept 15] seeing them located on Kindley Field Road in St George’s from 10am – noon, and 4pm – 7pm.

The recruitment drive will be backed up by a special open day at Warwick Camp on Saturday, September 20, when potential recruits and their families will be able to meet serving soldiers, see its roles and equipment and try out the obstacle course.

Regiment Adjutant Major Benjamin Beasley previously said, “The roadshows will be very informal, but informative – we want to reach out more to the public we serve and engage with them.

“We will be there to provide members of the community information about service in the Regiment and dispel – if needed – some of the myths surrounding it.”

FREE REGISTRATION!…LMFAO!!!!….who are these guys trying to kid?!

has anyone EVER been charged anything to register for ANY Military Force in any Country ???…NO!

    • TW says:

I think if you look at the poster ‘Free Registration’refers to the Junior Leaders programme, which offers free summer camps. Which seems a good deal to me!

  3. Bermy says:

With conscription looking to slowly and finally start fading away Bermuda does still have to be able to deploy some sortt of Millitary response when in crisis and if it can be made into a viable career choice then congrats to them for being prepared and a least being open about the opportunities available. Lots of people looking for work make it economically viable and watch them come.

  4. If they was smart says:

They would have a Bermuda flag there

  5. Triangle Drifter says:

Do the fulltime staff not have anything better to do with their time, on the taxpayers dime, than sit up on the roadside with a cannon. How many did they sign up?

  7. Bond, James Bond says:

HMMM, These guys are trying to recruit(as per the law, i believe), in a bid to lower conscription numbers and continue to have a Regiment after conscription has ended. It’s actually a full time job everywhere else, TD (surprised at you). People will harp about anything.
