Video: BBA 100KM Race Results In Crashes
Despite less than inviting weather conditions, cyclists made their way to Warwick on August 24 in order to take part in the Bermuda Bicycle Association [BBA] 100 kilometer road race, which celebrated its 40th anniversary.
While most cyclists made it through the event without harm, two participants crashed on the slick roadway, resulting in one woman receiving medical attention from emergency services.

The 100 kilometer road race began at Lindo’s Family Foods in Warwick, with the route traveling to St. George, St. David’s, and Dockyard, before finishing on Harbour Road in Paget.
Dominique Mayho powered to take a solo victory in the inaugural Presidents Cup. Having been a part of a seven man break away in the 100 kilometre race, he dropped the rest of his group in Southampton and rode to the finish in Paget with a 37 second lead over the chasers.
Justin Ferreira, who was recently selected to represent Bermuda at the 2014 Junior Caribbean Cycling Championships, claimed second place overall, just ahead of Mat Ackland. Nicole Mitchell was the top female finisher, followed by visitor Michelle Gauthier and Zoenique Williams.
