“Business As Usual” At The Hamilton Princess
It is business as usual at The Fairmont Hamilton Princess following Hurricane Gonzalo, with all services and amenities – including the hotel’s new resort pool, Princess Marina and harbour side restaurant – fully operational.
The Fairmont Hamilton Princess did not sustain damage as a result of Hurricane Gonzalo. To ensure the safety and security of its guests and colleagues, the hotel team followed a comprehensive hurricane preparedness plan, and the property was well equipped to handle the storm.
Fairmont has also advised its guests that airport operations at L.F. Wade International Airport opened at 5 pm Sunday, October 19. The property is open and accepting new reservations.
Many homes on the island of Bermuda have lost power and island officials are currently assessing any other damage. To assist local residents, The Fairmont Hamilton Princess is offering reduced rates for those who wish to move into the hotel until power is restored.
“Since 1885, The Fairmont Hamilton Princess has withstood countless storms,” said Allan Federer, General Manager. “We are proud of the care our colleagues took of our guests during this time, and it is business as usual at The Fairmont Hamilton Princess. Phase two of our more than $90 million renovation continues and fall is a wonderful time of year to visit the island.”
