Burch & Blackburn Advance To Finals In Mexico
Two Bermuda swimmers have advanced to the finals of the 2014 Central American and Caribbean Games in Mexico, with both Lisa Blackburn and Roy Allan Burch qualifying during today’s [Nov 15] heats.
During the Men’s 100m Freestyle Heat 2, Burch clocked a time of 52.00 finishing 4th, which earned him a spot in the finals with the 8th fastest time.
Blackburn advanced to the Women’s 100m Breaststroke Final after she finished 4th in Heat 2 in a time of 1:14.87, which gave her the 7th fastest qualifying time.
Both swimmers are set to contest three events, with Burch also scheduled to compete in the 50m Freestyle and 50m Butterfly, while Blackburn will also hit the pool in the 50m Breaststroke and 200m Breaststroke.
