Miss Bermuda Leaves For Miss World Contest
Miss Bermuda Lillian Lightbourn left the island this morning [Nov 17] to head to the United Kingdom to represent Bermuda in the Miss World Pageant, where she will join representatives from over 100 nations in the competition, with the finals set to take place on December 14th.
According to the Miss World website, “For a little over 3 weeks, the contestants will experience the wonder of England’s vibrant multicultural metropolis whilst they take part in the Miss World Challenge Events and prepare themselves for the Big Final!”
“Six challenge events take place in the run up to the final; Beach Fashion, Beauty with a Purpose, Multi-Media, Sports, Talent, and Top Model. These offer the chance for the contestants to shine, giving them the opportunity to win important points.
“The Miss World Final recaps the events of the previous weeks, sees the final scores being added together before the final few contestants are whittled down through a series of questions and interview.”
