Photos & Video: Shoppers At Black Friday Sales
Despite the inclement weather last night which saw rain accompanied by thunder, locals lined up in Hamilton ready to snap up bargains, and the Black Friday shopping frenzy was in full swing this morning [Nov 28].
Stores including Digicel, Annex Toys, Brown & Co, The Phoenix, and P Tech opened at 4.00am, with Gibbons Company and Pulp & Circumstance opening 5.00am, while retailers including Audio Visual and ER Aubrey will open at 6.00am.
We will update with more photos as the morning progresses, and in the meantime you can view our live Black Friday blog here, our list of specials and store opening times here, and all our coverage of past Black Fridays in Bermuda here.

NUTS!…all NUTS!
Hope to see you all at work tomorrow bright and early,or perhaps will it be a sick day?
Do us all a favour and “go fly a kit”. Better yet, how bout I say…. hope to see you at work being productive instead on making DUMB comments on Bernews.
Regards
Early Bird Shopper who took the day OFF!!!!!!!
Now that would be “DUMB” considering it isn’t good friday , secondly I believe my work ethic shouldn’t be in question as you’ve simply taken the day off to shop, if only the dedication to the waiting for those doors to open or waking up and weathering storms at 3am were represented in work ethics our island wouldn’t be in the turmoil its in… Support our local shops more than one night a year.
Not everybody works a 9-5 job, Smarty Pants. There is something called shift work, in case you haven’t heard. Although I’m not attending the sales, many of my colleagues are. And since they don’t have to be back at work until 4p.m. NO they won’t be taking a sick day.
You are a typical Bermudian hater, quick to draw a negative conclusion.
Why must people comment that every person shopping must be calling in sick . There are great many who have taken the day off to “Buy Bermuda” i always shop this day as it is a great way to help our local shops.
Don’t let a bit of reason stand in the way of their “hate” @Concerned…as “superior” as they may see themselves they couldn’t ponder that possibility could they?
As the late George Carlin used to say:
“Buying **** they don’t need with money they aint got”
