Assault Victim Moved From ICU To General

The 38-year-old man originally placed in intensive care after being beaten on Union Street in Pembroke during the early hours of November 8th is now in stable condition, according to police.

A police spokesperson said, “The 38-year-old man who was admitted into the Intensive Care Unit [ICU] of KEHM after being beaten during the early hours of November 8 has been moved to a general ward and is now in stable condition.

“A 57-year-old man has been remanded into custody after appearing in Magistrates Court and will be arraigned in the Supreme Court in the future.”

A police spokesperson previously said, “At last check the 38 year old male injured around 3:10am Saturday, November 8th on Union Street in Pembroke was in stable condition at the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.

“Initial information suggests that the hospitalised man was injured during an altercation with another man.

“A 57 year old Bermudian man has been arrested in connection with this matter and remains in police custody. A court appearance is anticipated in due course.
