‘Chefs Table’: Miss Hospitality & Miss Bermuda

November 14, 2014

2014 Miss Hospitality winner Miss Cami Bean-Caines hosted Miss Bermuda Lillian Lightbourn, and three other special guests at a Chef’s table courtesy of Executive Chef Jean-Claude Garzia of Beau Rivage at Newstead.

Ms Caines said, “As this special dinner was taking place on Remembrance Day, I invited my cousin Tajee Lowe as a special guest. Tajee has just graduated from boot camp and will be flying off to for his first permanent duty station with the United States Marine Corps in Okinawa, Japan.”

“I also wanted to share this fabulous experience with my Pageant sister and wish her well as she travels to represent Bermuda in the Miss World competition,” said Ms. Caines.

During the evening, against the backdrop of a painting of a village in Italy, guests dined on five courses designed to make your taste buds dance. The first course was Crab Meat and Avocado Chartreuse with Mango dressing.

“I don’t usually like, crab but this dish has certainly changed my mind,” said Miss Bermuda Lillian Lightbourn.

The fourth course was Aged Angus Beef Tenderloin – Stephanie of Monaco style, served with a Peppercorn sauce and Scalloped Potato, while the final course was a Chilled Grand Marnier Soufflé with Candied Pineapple and a Chocolate basket with Berries and Raspberry sauce.
