Baseball: Blue Jays Go Down 5 – 1 To Big Red

December 8, 2014

The YAO Fall Ball Baseball Season continued at the YAO Ball Park in St. George’s with Big Red defeating the Blue Jays 5-1 in six innings on Sunday [Dec 7] behind Jannis Roberts, who went 1-2.

Sam Resnik put together a nice outing. The Blue Jays managed just one hit off of the Big Red’s pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out five during his two innings of work.

In the third inning, the Blue Jays pushed across their only run of the day on a passed ball. The game’s last lead went to Big Red thanks to a third inning rally that saw three runs cross the plate.

Big Red built upon its lead with two runs in the sixth. Downey Alex’s single got things going, bringing home Aaron White. That was followed up by Peter Komposch’s single, scoring Jannis Roberts.
