29 Year Old Woman Remanded Into Custody
Appearing in Magistrates Court today [Dec 19], a 29-year-old woman faced charges of handling $9,387 knowing the funds to be the proceeds of crime.
Aided by an interpreter, Ms Eliana Medina — who is a Colombian national who was said to reside in Miami, Florida — was charged with handling $9,387 knowing the funds to be the proceeds of crime between 14th and 17th December 2014.
Ms Medina was remanded into custody by Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo until a re-appearance in January 2015. As the charges can only be heard in the Supreme Court, the defendant did not have to enter a plea
