Vigil Planned To Show Solidarity With France
A collection of concerned local residents with French ties will gather tomorrow, Sunday, January 11, 2015, at 9:30am at Victoria Park in Hamilton in solidarity with Charlie Hebdo and the victims of the recent terrorist attacks in Paris.
“This peaceful vigil will give Bermuda the opportunity to reaffirm the values it shares with the French people — freedom, equality and brotherhood — while also taking a stand against threats to Freedom of Expression,” a spokesperson added.

“Gatherers will mark a minute of silence at 10:00am to coincide with the official rallies taking place in France. All welcome are to join.
“Organizers are especially keen to point out that people of all religious denominations are encouraged to attend to further emphasize the importance of unity and solidarity against terror.”
France is “preparing for a huge march” in Paris on Sunday, the Guardian has reported, with British prime minister David Cameron, German chancellor Angela Merkel, Spanish prime minister Mariano Rajoy and Italian prime minister Matteo Renzi among the world leaders planning to attend.

I would ask all to not blindly believe what the media feeds you. Please review the tapes for yourselves and arrive at your own conclusions. Not everything is as it seems.
What a comment to make when freedom of speech was attacked, and people lost their lives. Maybe things are as they seem, and 1 + 1 is in fact 2 instead of 5. The media can never be 100% impartial, but not everything they say is wrong all the time.
What was it about the terrorist executing a police officer (who was on the ground) that might not have been as it seemed ?
A shot from that close with that calibre of bullet should have produced blood for one.
This is something i think many should support and do take into consideration our own safety in the coming future, no longer is Bermuda another world and I look around my country and see the like of so many nationalities and just pray that their ideologies do not try and take route upon our shores.Our Mother country just this week release a very serious statement and Canada has followed with the realness of terrorist attacks that is being planned for the Western hemisphere, namely the United States, the United Kingdom and Canada, so this says that it is coming right into our backyard, and for all who think’s this is scare mongering, no this is reality.The U.S sneezes we catch a cold and we need to be mindful and prayerful.
These fanatics don’t care about anyone that does not believe in their misguided beliefs and need to be terminated on sight!
Where was their public vocal support when it comes to standing against racism! Just a question.
