Tickets Available For Annual City Food Festival
The City of Hamilton announced that tickets for the 4th annual City Food Festival — which will be held from March 16th to 21st — are available online at www.ptix.bm.
Sample from some of Bermuda’s finest dining establishments, watch local chefs compete in a canapé competition, and enjoy a day of cultural food delights in a festive atmosphere for both families and the distinguished food lovers alike.
Chef Competition
March 16th & 18th – 5:30 – 8:30pm – Bermuda Gas, 25 Serpentine Road, Pembroke
The Chef Competition kicks off the week of events with two preliminary rounds taking place on March 16th and 18th at Bermuda Gas. All Chefs are to prepare three distinctly different canapés from a box of ingredients provided 48 hours in advance.
Each chef’s name will be randomly drawn from a box for night selection, with a maximum of five chefs participating per night. A winner from each night will be selected and advance to the finals taking place at the Street Festival on March 21st.
Tickets: $35.00 per event or you can buy a passport for $60.00 for entry to both [March 16 & 18]. Ticket holders will have the opportunity to sample the chef’s creations while enjoying complimentary signature beverages provided by Goslings, and entry into a raffle draw for great prizes.
Goslings Wine Tasting
March 20th – 5:30- 7:30pm – Gosling’s Wine Cellar, 9 Dundonald Street, Hamilton
Wines are quite complex and exhibit various characteristics which change according to the glassware they are served in. Join us as we explore a variety of red and white wines while learning and understanding wine tasting notes.
Tickets: $100 which includes a four piece Riedel stemware set.
Street Festival
March 21st – 3:00 – 9:00pm – City Hall Car Park
Participating in the street festival is a cross section of restaurants, caterers, and food related companies to create an unforgettable food tasting experience. Almost two dozen restaurants and bars island wide will be featured, offering a wide variety of foods and specialty drinks.
There will be multiple food demonstrations, fun-filled Bermuda food dish competitions for the public to participate in, as well as the City Food Festival: Chef Competition finals taking place live. Come out and explore samplings of some of Bermuda’s finest restaurants and bars as they showcase their skills.
Tickets: $40.00 [booklet of 8 food and 2 drinks tickets]; $5 for single tickets.
