The Human Rights Act, 1981 [Act] establishes an independent Selection and Appointment Committee, which has a statutory function to appoint members to serve on a panel as members of the Human Rights Tribunal. Sections 13A and 13B of the Act set out the provisions for the recruitment, selection and appointment of the Human Rights Tribunal panel members. The Selection and Appointment Committee is pleased to make the following appointments with effect from September 22, 2022.
