Bermuda U17 Youth Rugby UK Tour Update

February 9, 2015

After working on the Railway Trail on January 31, 2015, the Bermuda U17 rugby squad was back to play in the High School League with their respective schools on February 4, and had a two hour training session on February 8 under the watchful eye of Coach Patrick Calow.

A spokesperson said, “The focus of the most recent sessions was on the key technical aspects of the forwards and backs plays including scrummaging with Teachers stalwarts Billy McNiven and David Cooke, and a number of set plays from the backs under their pre-agreed code names.”

“We had some good news on the fundraising side this week and the collective group would like to express our gratitude for the positive feedback and contributions to the tour funds.

“The group received a lot of positive feedback on the work completed with Mike and Tucker Murphy on the Railway Trail. The group has committed to another weekend at the end of February to finish what they have started and really progress the effort on the Store Hill section of the trail.”
