Results: Bermuda Darts League Season Action
The Bermuda Darts Association League Season continued this week as the league’s 10 teams played fixtures around the island at their home venues.
As most teams have now played nine games, the league season has reached the halfway point; with nine games remaining, the final tallies are far from done.
Sub Aqua 5 – Docksiders Renagades 4
A very close game that could have gone either way, this match saw the Renagades win their first 1001 game, and then win three singles matches, only for Sub Aqua to then win all four doubles matches and deny Renegades a win.
Spanish Point B.C. 5 – St George’s Dinghy & Sailing Club – 4
Another close encounter, this match saw victory for Chick Simons in beating Gary Brangman 2-1 in a close singles match, along with three wins in their doubles matches, with Spanish Point holding out for a narrow win.

Filipino’s won the 1001, along with victories in the singles for Pat Robiso over Marcho Pacheco 2-0, Renato Reyes over Angelo Costa 2-0, and Manny Real over Mario DeSilva 2-1, while Antonio Camara beat Raymond Alcantara 2-1 in his singles match for Vasco.
Docksiders Filipino’s [2] 5 – Sandy’s B.C [2] 4
Docksiders Filipino’s [2] won the 1001 game, only to lose three of their doubles matches. Mike Butterfield beat Cris Caco 2-0 in his singles for Sandys, but wins for Freddie Albarido over Shaine Benevides 2-0, Elisio Eubenga over Jim McLennan 2-1, and Rodel Lorenezo over Jamie DeSilva 2-0 saw them hold out for the win.
Docksiders Bulldogs 6 – Sandy’s B.C [1] 3
The 1001 game went to Bulldogs, along with three wins in their doubles matches. Wins for Sandy’s in the singles for Steven Almedia over Carl Martin 2-0 and Aaron Carvelho over John Orr 2-0 kept it close, but singles victories for Simon Carruthers over Juliana D’Estelle-Roe 2-0 and Steve Hickmott over Richard Phillips 2-1 saw the Bulldogs hold onto win the match.
Team Knockout will be held on Monday, February 23; the draw was held by the committee and Vasco da Gama, with Vasco Captain Marcho Pacheco pulling the names of teams out of the hat to determine the match ups in the head to head team tournament.
