Man Granted $5,000 Bail On Cannabis Charge

Appearing in Magistrates Court this morning [Feb 10], a 32 year old man was granted $5,000 bail after he denied possessing cannabis.

Lamar Bean was granted $5,000 bail with one surety after he pleaded not guilty to unlawfully possessing cannabis, with intent to supply, in September 2014.

The Crown Prosecutor told Senior Magistrate Juan Wolffe that the amount was alleged to be just over 46 grams of cannabis with the Court hearing it had an estimated street value of $2,325.

Trial was set for June 2015.
