Wells was booked for a nudge in the back and received his first yellow card of the game in the 31st minute, one minute after opposing midfielder Shaun Williams received a yellow card for bringing down Wells.

The Huddersfield Town Terriers defeated the Millwall FC 3 – 1 at The Den located in South Bermondsey. Goal scorers for Huddersfield included Sean Scannell [17'], Jacob Butterfield [75'] and James Vaughan who scored a penalty in the 86th minute, while Stefan Maierhofer scored the home side’s only goal in the 28th minute.

Huddersfield manager Chris Powell on the win at Millwall said, “that was easily our best performance since I took over”.
