We are particular pleased that this is the first ever FIFA sponsored coaching course held in Bermuda designed specifically for women and girls.” said Shequita Parson, BFA Executive Member and Chair of the Women’s Football Committee.
While the BFA aims to attract a majority of female participants, this course is also available for men who have an interested in coaching women’s football.
Those who participate in this course will be able to put their new tools to immediate use at the Grassroots Festival, on May 2nd. The Grassroots Festival will be aimed at girls between 5-12, and will feature coaching sessions and games.
“My aim is to get more women involved in the game as coaches, in particular, and to establish thriving grassroots, youth, and women’s league programs for the 2015/16 season.” said Mrs. Parson.
