BFRS Extinguish Vehicle Fire On Berkeley Road

At approximately 9:51pm last night [March 19] the Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service responded to a report of a vehicle fire on Berkeley Road in Pembroke.

Fire Service spokesperson Sgt. Russann Francis said, “The vehicle was reported to have visible smoke and flames emitting from beneath the truck.”

“The Fire Service responded to the incident with one vehicle staffed with 4 firefighters to find that prior to their arrival, the owner attempted to put the fire out with an extinguisher.

“The fire was contained to the truck tires and required 2 firefighters wearing full protection to continue with extinguishment.

“The cause of the fire is currently under investigation,” added Sgt. Francis.
