Marine Police Assist Hinson’s Island Resident

A 40-year-old man had to be transported from Hinson’s Island to hospital on Saturday morning [Mar 7] after a 911 call alerted authorities that he was suffering from “breathing difficulty”.

A Bermuda Maritime Operations Centre spokesperson said, “911 call received from a member of the public at Hinson’s Island requesting Marine Police attendance at the island to transport a 40 year old male suffering from breathing difficulty to the main island.

“Heron 2 was tasked to attend and by 11.10am the casualty had been transferred to an ambulance at Darrells Wharf for onward transfer to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.”
