Police Thank Public For Help After Bus Collision
The police have extended thanks to all the members of the public that helped the passengers onboard the bus involved in the collision yesterday, particularly those that helped extricate all of the distressed adults and children.
Yesterday [Mar 11] a bus crashed into parked cars and a utility pole, resulting in eight people being injured and power being knocked out for 40 customers.
A police spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Police Service would like to thank all members of the public that came to the aid of the passengers onboard the bus involved in a collision along Crow Lane in Pembroke Wednesday morning – particularly those that helped extricate all of the distressed adults and children.”

“In addition, we would like to acknowledge the members of staff at Renaissance Re who provided water, food and shelter for emergency service personnel as well as the pre-school students and other bus passengers,” the police spokesperson added.
“Eight people were treated at the hospital for minor injuries following the incident; however, none of them required admission. Inquiries regarding this matter continue and any witnesses should contact Constable Mervin Homer on the main police.”

agreed – this is a publically funded and used vehicle and the incident does not need to be shrouded in any mystery or cover-up. let the truth be told plain and simple.
Hopefully a complete and honest report will take place whether it be mechanical or medical investigation into the cause of this terrible incident. Importantly to rest incorrect speculations via social Media.
