Police Investigation: Possible Pedophile Charges

March 10, 2015

The police have confirmed they are conducting an investigation targeting local offenders, and “there may be criminal offences in regards to illegal use of the internet and possibly pedophile related charges.”

Bernews received unofficial reports of a heavy police presence in a residential area of Devonshire this morning [Mar 10], and in response to our queries, Acting Assistant Commissioner of Police Sean Field-Lament said, “I can confirm that the Bermuda Police Service is currently conducting an investigation targeting local offenders.

“There may be criminal offences in regards to illegal use of the internet and possibly pedophile related charges. Police are actively investigating the matter as we speak and it would be inappropriate to give further details as this may hinder the investigation in its earliest stages,” added Mr. Field-Lament.

Please stay on top of this because this behaviour has ruin many people’s lives or caused other psychological issues to those exploited by Pedophiles!!

  2. PBanks says:

I fear that by divulging the suggestion that it’s related to pedophile information via the internet, the investigation may already be hampered.

If there’s any wrongdoing going on, hopefully the authorities will still be able to get the evidence they need to curtail the activities.

      what are you talking about?

      • PBanks says:

Um, the chance that alerting the public that they’re looking for guys involved in pedophile-related activity, may tip the bad guys off to dispose of their stash, if they possess any…

You clearly don’t know how computers work.

Um hello, if you destroy the hard drive, that’s going to hinder things. Don’t be a tool, or a troll.

  3. Kim Smith says:

There is no reason to believe that this would be going on in Bermuda. I support WhistleBlower’s call to get on to this quickly and strongly, this is something that has many victims.

    • Kim Smith says:

Sorry… I meant to say “there is no reason to believe that this WOULDN’T be going on in Bermuda”.

    • Darwin's Child says:

It goes on everywhere sadly. The internet does not respect country borders.

Just to be clear: paedophiles, rapists, etc should be locked up until, well until whenever they will not offend again. Lets hope these bad guys and girls continue to get caught.

And lets also hope that the Busy Body Brigade does not seize on this as a chance to get their jollies by curtailing other folk’s legal, private proclivities. I could really see a few self righteous types (both of the religious and “right thinking” liberal arts major types turning this into an open ended Witch Hunt given half a chance.

Internet providers should be jointly charged with supplying the pornographic material. It is absurd that they are permitted to provide access to it and remain above the law. They are no better than drug dealers.
