Run/Walk With C.A.R.E. Registration Ends Today
C.A.R.E. Learning Centre is getting set to host its ‘Running and Walking with C.A.R.E.’ event on Sunday, March 15, with walkers setting out at 8.30am and runners following at 9.00am.
General registration is available until 4.30pm today [Mar 13] at Sportseller in Washington Mall, while late entries will be accepted between 11.00am and 2.00pm tomorrow [Mar 14] at C.A.R.E. Learning Centre.
The event will see awards and prizes given to the overall first male and female, along with the top three males and females in categories including Runners [12-18, Open 19-49, and Masters 50+] and Walkers [12-18, Open 19-49, and Masters 50+], along with a new category for primary students under 12.
The route will see participants start at Underhill Lane next to Arnold’s Market, taking St. John’s Road east to Langton Hill, turning left at C-Mart, west on North Shore Road to Admiralty House, left on St. John’s Road going east to Mills Creek Road, left on Serpentine Road to BAA Club, and left on Woodlands Road back to Arnold’s Market to the finish line in the C.A.R.E. Learning Centre Parking Lot.
Primary Runners under 12 will begin at 8.45am, starting from CARE Learning Centre at Underhill Lane next to Arnold’s Market, St. John’s Road, travel east to Langton Hill, travel along Langton Hill to North Shore Road, turn left at C-Mart, travel west on North Shore Road turn left on Berkeley Road to St. John’s Road back to Arnold’s to the finish line in the C.A.R.E. Learning Centre parking lot, a total distance of approximately 1.5 miles.
The entry fee is $20 for adults, $10 for juniors/primary under 18, and $25 for late entries. Registration forms are available at Sportseller in the Washington Mall. Forms must be submitted by 4.30pm today [Mar 13] with the entry fee to Sportseller, with all cheques made payable to “C.A.R.E. Learning Centre.”
Race numbers will be issued and late entries accepted between 11.00am and 2.00pm tomorrow [Mar 14] at C.A.R.E Learning Centre at 38 Mount Hill in Pembroke.
