Gymnast Tabytha Hofheins Wins Gold In Montreal
The senior national gymnastics squad traveled to Montreal, Canada this week for the 24th Annual Gymnix International Classic, along with gymnasts from Canada, Mexico, Italy, Russia, USA, Switzerland, Sweden and Cayman Islands.
Tabytha Hofheins [17, Warwick], Gabby Vincent [17, Warwick], Sydney Mason [16, BHS], Zantae Dill [16, Saltus], and Danielle Wall [15, BHS] competed in the Provincial Senior division while Anna Francoeur [12, Warwick], was in the Novice age group.

Team captain Hofheins, coming off a win at the Chicago Style Invitational three weeks ago, continued her dominance on vault, scoring a 13.85 for the gold medal. She finished 20th all around with a 45.5. Danielle Wall also found success on vaulting, scoring a 13.3 for an 8th place award.

Sydney Mason had a solid all-around performance, earning her personal best score of 46.55 [18th]. Zantae Dill finished just out of the awards on beam [11.95, 10th], performing the squad’s highest level of difficulty on the event.
Rounding out the senior squad was Gabby Vincent , finishing 25th with a 42.6. In the Novice division, Anna Francoeur earned a 43.35 for 20th place.
The gymnasts will now turn their attentions to preparing for NatWest Island Games this summer; Bermuda won the silver medal in the gymnastics team event in 2013 and the squad is looking forward to another chance to vie for the gold.
