Students Congratulated For UN Participation
On Friday [March 20] Premier Michael Dunkley and the Minister of Education Wayne Scott, welcomed 29 high school students to the Cabinet Office to hail their recent participation in the 39th annual United Nations International School Conference.
The students represented 6 high schools, including Berkeley, Warwick Academy, CedarBridge Academy, Saltus, Bermuda High School and Bermuda Institute.
This year’s conference was held from March 5-6, with the theme being “Sustainability:, Balancing People, Planet and Profit”.
For their achievements, the students were presented with certificates from the Premier and Minister Scott.
Premier Dunkley said, “We are thrilled to recognize the achievements of 29 students from six of Bermuda’s high schools.
The Premier added, “They successfully travelled as local ambassadors to the United Nations for the UN International School Conference, and I was pleased to join with the Minister of Education to honour their achievements and present them with special certificates of participation and merit.
“Each of these students represented Bermuda with distinction and pride, and we are thrilled at their accomplishments. On behalf of the Government, we offer our heartfelt congratulations and wish them nothing but the best of luck in their future educational endeavours.”
