Colts & PHC Win Appleby Youth Knockout Cup

The Bermuda Football Association [BFA]  announced the results of the Appleby Youth Knockout Cup finals and offered its congratulations to the winning teams.

Held on Saturday April 11 at the National Sports Centre, the under-14 final between Richmond Harriers and Devonshire Colts ended 2-0, with Devonshire Colts lifting the trophy. Devonshire Colts goal scorers were Santze Burgess and Jaquari Paynter.

PHC edged BAA 1-0 in the under-16 final, with Tahjea Welch scoring the lone goal.

Troy Lewis, Head of Youth Development for the BFA, said, “The BFA wishes to congratulate Devonshire Colts and PHC on their victories. We also wish to acknowledge Richmond Harriers and BAA for reaching the finals. The Knockout Cup Finals were a great end to a successful Appleby Youth League season. We are very thankful to Appleby for their continued support of youth football in Bermuda.”

Kiernan Bell, Bermuda Managing Partner at Appleby, which is marking 13 years of sponsoring the Youth Leagues in partnership with the BFA, commented: “We wish to congratulate the youth players who took part in the Knockout Cup finals for their tremendous efforts and sportsmanship on the day. We are proud to support the BFA’s Youth League which we believe further encourages and develops Bermuda’s up-and-coming footballers, both on and off the field.”
