BLTA Open Singles Challenge To Get Underway
The BLTA Open Singles Challenge tournament gets underway today [April 8] with matches starting at 5:30pm at Coral Beach Tennis Club.
Players vying for an opportunity to represent Bermuda in both the Men’s Davis Cup and Women’s Fed Cup events will be participating in this new singles event tournament.
This tournament will give Bermuda’s tennis players [including juniors], a chance for some strong well rounded competition in both the Men’s and Ladies events.
The Men’s draw has a group of 16 men entered with the top four seeds being:
- Gavin Manders # 1
- Jenson Bascome # 2
- David Thomas # 3
- Sam Butler # 4
Whilst the Ladies draw has 6 women who will be competing in a round robin event and the top two seeds are:
- Jacklyn Lambert # 1
- Kaylah Ming # 2
