Looks like a really hard collision. Hope the injured person recovers speedily.
thanks
As the saying goes, “two wrong don’t make a right”. It’s obvious the roads are wet and caution must be taken by all road users…
I pray for the female who’d been riding the bike that she isn’t seriously injured and can be released from the hospital a.s.a.p.
thank you for being concern.she had to go in surgery.she in out now and it went okay. thanks again. her mother
Hope your daughter makes a speeding recovery
thank you.
Glad to hear she is now out of hospital. May she have a speedy recovery. God blessings be with you all…
thanks but she is not out of the hospital. she will be in there for a long time do to her injuries. again thank you
Wishing your daughter a full recovery from her injuries.
I am not surprised the way bikers have been riding the weekend, ever since Thursday they have been passing overtaking on corners as well as straightaways even when the traffic stops to let out etc. they still overtake.
It’s just dumb and stupid.
people in that driveway love to pull out into traffic and not care all the time, the bike is in the right and obviously the car was too impatient to wait for the bike to drive past, couldn’t wait the extra three seconds, so damn impatient
I am almost killed by this every day, impatient people in cars pulling out in front of you etc
Don’t be ignorant….Its not just that driveway….its all driveways
Daz Lickins
looks like it was the cars fault I pray the rider is ok
For what it’s worth, the driver of the car is at fault in this crash. The driver of the bike has right of way, without question. The car driver caused this. I hope the bike driver recovers fast and fully.
looks are really deceiving until we know the facts we shouldn’t assume
Hang in there cuzen! We r praying for your recovery!
Easy on the blaming folks. Everyone makes mistakes. Although it would “appear” that the car would be in the wrong as it is exiting Kent Ave….we do not know all the facts. I hope that the injured lady is going to be okay. Prayers for all involved.
“dislike”?really? will pray for you too.
It is quite plain that the bike was on Middle Road; no traffic lights, no stop signs, no yields. The car was pulling out of a side road controlled (or should be if W & E couldn’t be asked to put up a stop sign), by a traffic device (stop sign). Blame is clearly on the driver of the car. Unless the vehicles were rearranged subsequent to the collision. Cut and dried. Those are all of the facts that are relevant.
It was on South Shore. you were very quick to ascertain fault , yet you could not ascertain location.
why dont these cars wait until the bikes go across…. i dont get it
Tell us where you learned to be a perfect driver who has never made a mistake, never misjudged, never completely missed seeing another vehicle on the road.
That intersection has clear visability to/from the east. From Tee Street have to really nose out & sometimes pray the car behind hasn’t crept up behind in case would like to reverse & wait for a gap.
As I have said numerous times before, Bermuda is covered with intersections with poor sightlines. Our poor driving habits make them worse.
Sometimes, even when sightlines are good, drivers simply miss seeing something. Unfortunately these things happen. Nobody is perfect.
Then there are those with very long records of offences & insurance claims.
Slow down people on bike.
Driver of cars, bike rider has paid to be on the rode too.
thank you all for being concern. she had to go in surgery. she is out now and in a lot of pain. the hold thing was recorded on cc camera and it was his fault.she was going work.
It sounds awful. Best wishes to you and your daughter. I hope she is feeling better quickly.
