Women’s Futsal: PHC, Chicas & YMSC Win

Following play on Saturday [Apr 11], the 2015 Women’s Futsal League concluded with PHC winning their third consecutive Championship.

CP Chicas 5 – Dandy Stars 2

An entertaining match saw Chicas edge out a determined Stars and at half time Chicas led 3 to 1. Chicas added 2 more goals to Stars 1 to win 5 to 2. Cheyra Bell was outstanding for Chicas scoring 3 goals, with Rayni Maybury and LeiLanni Nesbeth adding 1 goal each. Stars was led by the impressive Zahra Gibbons who scored 1 goal with Jada Samuels scoring the other goal.

PHC 7 – SCC 6

The game of the evening saw the most improved team in the league SCC give the champions a real challenge and with some better finishing could have won the game. PHC led 4 to 1 at half time. SCC’s coach Seymour, who is also SCC’s premier men’s coach gave a great talk to his team as they outscored PHC 5 to 3 goals to narrowly lose the game.

PHC’s league leading scorer Aaliyah Nolan led her team with 6 goals. Taznae Fubler scored the other goal for PHC. Tschana Wade was outstanding for SCC scoring 1 goal, with Deshae Darrell and Dazhya scoring 2 each and Jya Ratteray Smith the other goal.

YMSC 5 – HPWC 4

Another exciting game saw YMSC eak out a win against a determined HPWC side. At half time YMSC led 3 goals to 1. However, HPWC came out more focused in the second half to score 3 goals to YMSC’s 2 to narrowly lose the game. Treshanna Scott-Carlington lead YMSC with 3 goals and KyAnne Scott-Fishenden scoring the other 2 goals. Za’kmari Turner led HPWC with 3 goals and Asreal Basden added the other goal.

Women’s All-Star Game Set For Saturday 18 April 

This ends the 2015 Women’s Futsal League with PHC winning their third consecutive Championship. The Women’s All-Star Game showcasing the best players from each team takes place on Saturday 18 April at the Bermuda College Gym starting at 7 pm.
