“In Life There Are No Barriers, Only Solutions”
The Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute’s [BUEI] Talks series is getting set to present “In Life There Are No Barriers, Only Solutions” by Neal Petersen on Thursday, May 21 at 7.30pm.
The event poster says, “South African-born Neal Petersen is a world-class racing yachtsman, award-winning author of Journey of a Hope Merchant, subject of a PBS documentary.
“Petersen has faced many challenges in life – poverty, racial discrimination, childhood disability and other insurmountable barriers – always responding by looking for opportunities to achieve his dream.”
“Neal completed the 1998-99 “Around Alone” the most dangerous extreme sport in the world, a 27,000 mile yacht race, 9 months at sea – alone, and in the smallest yacht he designed and built himself.
“In sharing his unique and fascinating story of the sea, Neal is one of the most inspiring, dynamic and thought provoking speakers you will ever witness, he is mesmerizing. Great for the whole family.”
The presentation will get underway at 7.30pm in the BUEI Auditorium, with a Sushi Happy Hour to be held at Harbourfront from 5.00pm to 6.30pm, with dinner opening at 6.00pm.
