Fire Service Provides Fire Marshall Training
The Bermuda Fire Service hosted Fire Marshall training with staff members from Amlin Bermuda on April 30, with the training conducted by Fire Service personnel at their Hamilton Station.
Fire Service spokesperson Sergeant Jamal Albuoy said, “The training consists of a theory session immediately followed with a practical application. Individuals learn first-hand how to identify the correct extinguisher for the job and how to apply the agent correctly.”
“The public should be reminded: there is a greater chance of extinguishing a small fire in the early stages before it becomes large. Thus, it is imperative for new employees [and even experienced ones] be refreshed in Fire Marshall training.”
The staff who completed the training included Victoria Borges, Michelle Carpol, Jonathan Jarrard, Andrew Phelan, Carleisha Seymour, Dorielle Battersbee-Hurdle, Ana Smith, and Erica Parsons.

Congratulation to all who’ve completed the training course: Victoria Borges, Michelle Carpol, Jonathan Jarrard, Andrew Phelan, Carleisha Seymour, Dorielle Battersbee-Hurdle, Ana Smith, and Erica Parsons.
It’s a course that I feel all restaurants kitchens and bar employees should take. Never under estimate the dangers of fire when allowed to get out of control.
