TABS Partners With Foster In New Swim Line
TABS, the authentic Bermuda shorts brand, announced the launch of their 2015 swim collection for men available to buy online and at A.S. Cooper & Sons Men’s store and Coral Beach Club and Tennis Club.
“Coined ‘The Amphibian’, the shorts are designed to take you from land to sea. Expertly tailored with a flattering straight leg finish, a medium low-rise waist and concealed waist adjusters, the shorts are designed for maximum style and comfort,” the company said.
“My research told me that my customers are looking for a swim suit that’s appropriate no matter what their weekend plans are,” Rebecca Hanson said.
“When that BBQ turns into wakeboarding, turns into a friend of a friend’s pool party and then a casual dinner—you’ll be glad you don’t have to go home to change! I wanted to make a product that suits the Bermuda lifestyle.”

Ms Hanson has joined forces with leading local artist Graham Foster to create a unique limited edition pattern, which is digitally printed onto the shorts and is also on all the linings of the summer collection.
The print captures the colours and images of Bermuda, with Mr Foster saying: ”I wanted to create a fun, expressionistic, colourful interpretation of Bermudian iconography – architecture, flora and fauna – all contained within a patchwork of blue squares representing the sea.”
“There will also be a special Cup Match edition swim short, which will be launching at the end of the month,” Ms Hanson added. “My goal is fly the Bermuda flag high and show the world what Bermuda shorts are really made of.”
Since its launch in 2013, TABS has expanded into women’s Bermuda shorts, Bermuda socks, belts and now swim shorts. The brand has featured in the New York Times, Travel & Leisure, AFAR magazine and UK Stylist. Ms Hanson also successfully launched the brand in Singapore last month and sells online internationally.
