  1. PBanks says:

Unfortunate way to settle the deadlock, but at least the three teams involved agree to the decision.

Maybe in future the BFA can put forward some good alternatives.

  2. who cares most says:

Why cant they use the pemalty system.
One nite all 3 teams take penalties against each other which would be a more reasonable way rather than lots of straws.
This way (penalties) all teams would be geared up and know what can happen if they loose.
In all fairness this seems more like a much better way to solve this fiasco.

  3. IF says:

IF we had better Ref’s, this 3 way draw wouldn’t have happened…

  4. Malcolm says:

    Easy solution
First team drawn wins the group
The other two teams play to see who comes second.
    Fair to all teams.

  5. Accidental Bermudian says:

Seems logical given FIFA rules shown below. Where the BFA have dropped the ball is by not making this clear in the tournament’s rules beforehand.

•Greatest number of points obtained in all the group matches.
•Goal difference in the group matches.
•Greatest number of goals scored in the group matches.
    •Head to head result
•Goal difference resulting from the group matches between the teams concerned.
•Greater number of goals scored in all group matches between the teams concerned.
•Drawing of lots by the FIFA Organizing Committee.
