Hockey Semi-Finals: Pembroke & Paget Win

The Pembroke Pirates and Paget Pistols will battle in the 2015 Inline Hockey Final after winning their semi-final battles at the PCC Hockey Rink.

The Pirates defeated the St. George’s Generals 11 – 3, the Pirates jumped out to a 2 – 0 lead in the First Period, they then scored five times in the Second Period with the Generals scoring twice making the score 7 – 2 with one Period to play. In that Final Period the Pirates scored four more times with the Generals scoring once.

David Provost and Warren Miller both scored a hat-trick for the Pembroke Pirates, while Jacob Amlong found the back of the net twice, Mark Heintzman, Ryan Wilson and Mathieu Desjardins all added a goal each. Patrick Neal scored twice for the St. Generals and Jeffrey Ingelman scored the other.

The Pistols defeated the Somerset Snappers 7 – 5, the Pistols led from start to finish they held a 3 – 1 lead at the end of the First Period, before holding a 5 – 2 lead at the sound of the horn to end the Second Period, although the Somerset Snappers outscored the Pistols 3 – 2 in the Final Period it was not enough to prevent the win.

Chris Grantier and Joel Neal scored hat-tricks for the Paget Pistols, with Shannon Goose adding the other, while Christopher Jackson scored four times for the Somerset Snappers, with Jeff Morash scoring the other.
