BTA Launch Special Travel Offers With JetBlue

October 2, 2015

This week an integrated marketing partnership launched with JetBlue in New York and Boston, which includes a combination of TV, email and social media marketing, the Bermuda Tourism Authority said.

The BTA said, “Earlier this week when discussing United’s reinstated winter service from Newark, CEO Bill Hanbury mentioned the Bermuda Tourism Authority [BTA] marketing team was working directly with airline partners to grow visitor demand throughout the year.

“This week, an integrated marketing partnership launched with JetBlue in New York and Boston, including a two-week rotation of television commercials.

“Airfare on JetBlue from New York [JFK] or Boston [Logan] are bundled with hotel stays at a number of participating properties.

“The special offers are good for travel between early October and mid-December [with a Thanksgiving period blackout date]. Deadline to book at jetblue.com/Bermuda is October 12, 2015.”

BTA CEO Bill Hanbury said, “We continue to increase promotions in key markets to raise awareness of Bermuda as a year-round travel destination.

“In this case we worked cooperatively with JetBlue to share marketing costs and resources to ensure we get the best possible value out of our collective media buy.

Mr Hanbury added, “A combination of TV, email and social media marketing are in-market now to entice travellers to book and fly to Bermuda between now and the end of the year. In the meantime, we are working with other airline partners to positively impact the winter season.

“We encourage our hotel and airline partners to provide valuable offers in key periods to maintain volume throughout the year to positively impact Bermuda’s economy.”

Sadly it’s Bermuda that’s in decline my friends. You can’t blame Hanbury for that.

“And dat’s de truff” Far too often we complain/ed as oppose to “taking the bull by its horns” and seeing what it is we, (individually) are capable of doing to better it so as it will once again be that “sparkle in the eyes” of them that did / will visit Bermuda…

This is more like it. We are not too “posh” for deals. Just hope the deals don’t have massive hidden taxes, gratuities etc.
