26-Year-Old Admits Causing GBH While Driving

Appearing in Magistrates Court today [Oct 23], 26-year-old Jahkeem Watson pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention on Mullet Bay Road in St Georges on 9th March this year and thereby causing bodily harm to a cycle rider.

The Crown Prosecutor told Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo that the collision between Mr Watson’s car and the bike resulted in damage to the bike and a broken elbow and bruised back for the male bike rider.

The Magistrate fined Watson $2,000 and also handed down the mandatory 24 month disqualification from driving all vehicles that was set by the Legislature for accidents involving bodily harm.
