TN Tatem School Win Middle School Netball Title
T N Tatem Middle School won the Middle School Netball Tournament at Bernard Park with an 11-7 win over the Whitney Institute Middle School in the final.
Sharpshooter Kaamilah Nasir led T N Tatem with all 11 goals, while Whitney got 4 goals from Izeya Wainwright and 3 goals from Druw Bascome.
T N Tatem had earlier defeated Somersfield Academy 9-3 in their semi-final. Wainwright again led Tatem with 5 goals while Ayana Tucker added 4. Somersfield got 2 goals from Emma Astwood and a single goal from Christina Costello.
Whitney needed over time to defeat Saltus in the other semi-final. Whitney came out on top 7-5 with Bascome scoring four times and Wainwright scoring 3. Xe’Azjah Paynter scored all five for Saltus.
