New Government Website Planned For Next Year
Today’s Throne Speech included news that the Bermuda Government will launch a new website to replace the current website at www.gov.bm, with the new website set to be launched in the second quarter of next year.
The relevant portion of the Throne Speech said, “In the second quarter of 2016, the Government will launch a new website to replace the website at www.gov.bm. The new website, which will contain government information and services, has been designed to link visitors to the information they need in no more than three clicks.”

This is a waste of money. Why up date the website when everyone is telling you including the Finance Minister that we need to cut Government jobs more and more.
I disagree, the current site is archaic and convoluted, I frequently visit the site for several purposes and trying to find the information you want is far too often results in an almost circular search going from one link to the next and taking you back to where you began. Pretty much like trying to call a government department for information, they just keep passing you onto someone else, and before you know it, your talking to the same people again.
Website design has grown past the dinosaur that is the government site, hopefully they can design an effective layout though… I will be waiting to see if I can find what I need with no more than 3 clicks
They definitely need a new website to reflect the current civil servants working in the Government. The current website still has the contact details for civil servants who have long since retired or left the Government. I look forward to a new and refreshed updated website design.
Why does this not surprise anyone , Micheal Dunkeley has done so many photo shoots , the archives have run out of space to store them all.
Now that was intelligent. An attempt at humour maybe?
With all the gaps in financial records and missing signatures from millions of dollars worth of contracts from 2008-2012 I think there is still plenty of storage space available.
